Shipping Policy

Where we ship from

Every parcel leaves our studio in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Orders placed before 14:00 GST on a working day go out the same day. Anything later goes out the next working day.

Free shipping applies to the order value after discounts and before tax. The threshold is AED 275, which is roughly USD 75.

Tracking

You will get a tracking number by email as soon as the label is printed. It can take up to 24 hours for the first scan to appear, which is normal and not a sign that anything has gone wrong. You can also follow your parcel on our order tracking page.

Duties and taxes

Prices on the site do not include import duty. Most countries let small parcels through without charge, but if your customs authority does ask for duty, that part is yours to pay. We declare every parcel honestly, at the price you paid.

Wrong address, missed delivery

If a parcel comes back to us because the address was incomplete, we will re-send it once at no cost. Please check your address on the confirmation email and tell us within a few hours if something is wrong, since we pack quickly.

Lost parcels

If tracking has not moved for 10 working days, write to us and we will open a case with the carrier and send a replacement. You do not have to chase the courier yourself.

The detail

When your capybara leaves and when it lands

Orders placed before 14:00 Gulf Standard Time on a working day are packed the same day. Anything after that, or on a Friday or Saturday, goes out on the next working day. You get a tracking number by email the moment the label is printed, not when the parcel is scanned.

Delivery estimates below are working days from dispatch, not from the moment you order. They are what the courier commits to, and in four years the only thing that has consistently broken them is customs during Eid and the week before Christmas — both of which we will warn you about on this page when they are coming.

Shipping questions

Where do you ship from?

Two warehouses: Dubai for the GCC and the wider Middle East, and Rotterdam for Europe and the UK. Orders route automatically to whichever is closer to you, which is why the GCC is faster than most stores manage.

Will I pay customs or duty on delivery?

No. Duties and import taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, so the price you agree to is the price you pay. If a courier ever asks you for money at the door, forward us the notice and we will settle it.

Can I have it sent straight to the person it is for?

Yes. Put their address in as the shipping address, tick gift wrap on the product page, and write the card message in the box that appears. No prices appear anywhere in the parcel or on the outside of it.

My tracking has not moved in three days.

That is usually a scan that did not happen rather than a parcel that did not move, and it normally resolves itself. If it has genuinely been still for five working days, email hello@capybaraplushpals.com with your order number and we will chase the courier and, if needed, send a replacement.
