How big is a capybara, really?

Plush toys look bigger in a photograph than they are in a box, which is why "smaller than I expected" is the number one reason one comes back. So here they are drawn to scale, against a bottle you already own.

Why capybaras

The animal that gets along with everyone

Birds sit on them. Monkeys sit on them. Ducks, turtles, cats and, in one photograph nobody has ever fully explained, a crocodile. Capybaras let all of it happen and keep chewing.

We started making these because the world could use more of that, in a form you can hold. Every capybara we make is a named individual with a personality, a favourite nap spot, and a list of species it gets along with — which, being a capybara, is all of them.

Questions people actually ask

How big are they, really?

The mini bear is 15 cm (5.9 in) and the jointed bear is 30 cm (12 in) standing, about 23 cm (9 in) sitting. Both are drawn to scale on the size guide

Are they safe for a small child?

Not for babies. The bears have fitted safety eyes and the charms carry small metal parts, so we recommend ages 6 and up. Remove all hang tags before handing one over, and never leave a plush toy in a cot.

How do I wash one?

Surface wash with a damp cloth and mild soap for everyday accidents. For a full wash, take the hood off and hand wash both at 30 C with a neutral detergent, then air dry away from a radiator. Do not tumble dry. Brush the fur back into shape with a soft comb once it is dry.

Do you ship to the Gulf?

Yes, and it is one of our biggest markets. Prices show in dirhams or dollars — switch in the header — and delivery is two to four working days across the GCC. Duties are calculated at checkout, so nothing is waiting for you at the door.

Can you wrap it as a gift?

Free, on every product page. Kraft paper, a paper ribbon, and a card with your message written by hand. Nothing in the box says what it cost.
